Hi, I found your website and have read all your information and your posts on facebook, and I ordered your products, arthro-ionx and promaxol today. My 11 year old black lab was diagnosed with arthritis about 2 years ago and has been on rimadyl and cosequin ds since. About July of this year it hit her hard and she is now on the max doses of rimadyl and tramadol and cosequin ds, I also give her Omega 3 fish oil and vitamins. She's to the point now where she can hardly get up off the floor unassisted and hobbles stiffly and can't go for walks anymore. I'm anxious to try your products and hope that it will at least allow her to manage to walk and get up by herself.

My question is #1, can I start her on your products while she's taking the rimadyl and tramadol? and can I back off these meds if I see improvement? #2, I've been reading alot about supplements, toxins, and liver problems over the last week....can I give her the supplement Marin or Denamarin to help detox her liver? or is it uneccessary with your arthro-ionx product? I want to do everything I can to help her...she's running out of time. Also, around July I switched her to grain free "Petcurean Now" food and I give her purified water only. She also gets a little baked chicken, fresh carrots to snack on and many other fresh veggies with her meal. Despite a healthy diet, she's gaining weight because of the lack of excercise, which makes everything more difficult. I know despite the meds, she's still in pain. It breaks my heart and I get very little sleep worried she might hurt herself while I'm sleeping. I'm lucky that I can work part-time from home so I don't have to leaver her alone while my husband is at work. Can you help me with these questions and any other advice. Many thanks, Kellie

Dear Kellie,

You may use Arthro-IonX along with other medications or supplements. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. Arthro-IonX helps to decrease pain and inflammation and stimulate healing. In addition I find it helpful to follow a holistic approach by giving some nutritional supplements to accompany Arthro-IonX. The supplements I recommend are digestive enzymes with meals, MSM, probiotics, vitamin C, and fish oil. I am glad you are already doing most of these. Arthro-IonX will help the body to better utilize the nutrition for a synergistic response. I would also try to get her off of Rimadyl and on to a different NSAID. Rimadyl is very hard on labs. Then with improvement I would start to decrease the amount of NSAID used and rely more on Arthro-IonX. You can use small doses more frequently if necessary. The Denamarin is a good idea. You can use that too. I would also try to find a veterinarian that does acupuncture and chiropractic. Both modalities are very helpful. Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
