Hello there,

I have an eight year old Border Collie who eats an all-natural organic diet, she is on multi vitamin, etc. - this summer proved to be miserable for fleas, one bite for her turned into painful, red, itchy skin. Now she is so severe her fur is falling out, she has chewed off most of the tip of her tail...she’s in bad shape. My question is - would Derma-IonX be a plausible aid in returning her to her health?

In dealing with flea allergy it is essential that you rid your dog's environment of fleas. Most of them reside off the dog because they usually jump off the dog after feeding. You might want to try our Defendex shampoo. It is hard on fleas but gentle on the pet. It is cooling and soothing to the skin. In addition, Derma-IonX will help the skin to heal if used both internally and topically. It will help the body to heal more quickly. Hopefully you can resolve the intensity of the situation quickly. In some instances a cortisone shot may be in order but many times the above products are enough to restore balance. It is better to avoid the shot if you possible. Please let us know of your progress.

Best Wishes,
