Hello Dr. Char,

I started Layla on Arthroionx this past Thursday and I didn't consider asking first if she should be taking it with having now both Addison's and renal failure. Her hips and legs have been weak and our vet did a kidney function test which looked improved so they thought the leg weakness was her arthritis flaring up which is why I started her on the Arthroionx. We started her 1/2 tsp twice a day this past Friday. Yesterday, she just woke up extremely weak and unable to use her back legs hardly at all. She also has become a bit disoriented. I took her to our vet. They did a blood test to see if it was her Addison's flaring up but it looked okay. They aren't familiar with the Arthro-ionx so can't tell me if it could be reacting with her or not. So, as a process of elimination, I'm checking in with you to see if weakness is a possible reaction or if it's not good to use with a dog with renal failure. She's an old girl, 15 1/2 years old now.

Thank you for any insight you can give me.

Janis
