My dog is boxer/shepherd mix about 9 years old, spayed, and about 60 lbs. She has had surgery twice for bladder stones, and a ton of allergies. The stone were both calcium and struvite, she is now on aminol to change the ph of urine as well as low calcium diet. Recently I tried her on royal canine so after 2-3 weeks she developed trouble with her hip. Vet said it is arthritis, did blood work and x-ray. We have tried many medications and nothing seems to help. Would your product be effective without affecting her other conditions, and can it be given directly to her because there are other animals in the house?

Dear Beth,

It should be fine to give ARTHRO-IONX on the food. Initially I would split the dose in half and give half with breakfast and half with supper. After improvement is seen you can give the whole dose once a day. I like to add it to the food because it makes it more likely the entire dose is consumed. I would also give PROBIOTICS to improve digestion. You might also consider OMEGA 3,6,9 to reduce inflammation and nourish the nerves. I like to use all of these when there is arthritis. Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,
