Hello. We have a 9 year old female Lab and a 6 year old domestic long hair cat. Our lab has a torn ACL in her right rear leg. Since the Arthro-IonX is a liquid to be added to their water, will it be okay for both our dog, Molly and our cat, KiKi to drink it as they drink from the same water dish in the house? Thanks so much. P.S. Our lab will be having surgery on the knee in approximately 3 weeks.

Dear Sue,

It would be safe for your cat, but I prefer to add it to the food so that that the intended recipient, your dog would usually get his whole dose when he eats his food.

Initially I prefer to split the dose and give a half dose on the breakfast and a half dose on the supper food. Once improvement is noted then I switch to a whole dose once a day.

Best regards,
