Health Questions & Answers

My dog is cushingoid. As a consequence her hind leg is atrophied. By the way she has only one hind leg, the other was amputated (on Jan.19, 2009) because of a squamous cell carcinoma of the digit that then had spread up her leg. She can barely walk now. My questions are:

1) Would Arthro-IonXâ„¢ for Dogs help?
2) Is it safe to give her? She is on Trilostane 20 mgs. once per day.

Dear Dr. Shirley S.,

Your dog has been through a lot. It is safe to use Arthro-IonX along with prescription medications because it is homeopathic in nature and does not contain large molecules that could interact. It helps to stimulate enzyme systems in the body which can help detoxification and allow cells to return to better function. In addition to Arthro-IonX, I would also suggest an organic diet, digestive enzymes, probiotics such as Purina's Forti-flora, a high quality fish oil, and a choline product such as Geri-Form. Together you will have synergistic effect to soothe and rebuild. Please give purified water, no chlorinated water. You can add Arthro-IonX to it and to the food. Add these in gradually or in small quantities to give the body time to adjust. Please let us know how you progress.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
