My dog has some sort of kidney dysfunction (amidst other problems) and is being analyzed by Dr. Jean Dodds, his holistic local vet and a specialist at ASC.

He is taking some herbal mixes for arthritis and was wondering if your product might be okay. I do know that with kidney dysfunction, they're not supposed to be supplemented with minerals. But I don't know if this applies to the trace minerals. Can they also get caught dangerously in the kidneys or is this safe?

Thanks

Dear Vanyoska,

Arthro-IonX should be safe because the trace mineral base does not contain a large quantity that would negatively affect the kidneys. The homeopathics in it should help to reduce inflammation in the body which would be helpful to the kidneys, too. However, since your dog has multiple issues I would start with a half dose because we want to progress slowly and not cause too much detoxification too rapidly.

Please let us know what else the tests reveal and how Angel progresses over time. You will receive very good holistic care and it would be interesting for us to know the details.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
