My dog had a large mass removed from her shoulder last week. She was given Tramadol for pain management. It tastes so nasty she will not have anything to do with it. So I gave her old me Rimadyl (given for her arthritis last year), she is having behavior changes so I am stopping that. The surgeon vet said we can try Gabapentin but I am reading the side effect profile, its disturbing as well. Can you suggest options?

Dear Kristie,

I would try Promaxol to reduce the pain and help healing to begin. Promaxol would be a good choice for your dog. It contains the stronger LM potencies. In addition it is helpful to give digestive enzymes with each meal, MSM, probiotics, and fish oil. The oligotherapeutic mineral base found in the IONX products helps the body to better utilize the other nutritional substances given for a synergistic response and faster healing. Also be sure to give sufficient fresh water that is free of chlorine and fluoride.

Please let us know how you progress or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
