I have an older gelding with arthritic hocks. Swelling is evident and he limps terribly after only a few minutes of riding. Also, I have a cat with malfunctioning thyroid and liver. She eats a great deal...but is extremely thin and 1 1/2 yrs. ago, our vet gave her 6mos to live. We tried her on the prescribed med from our vet but the #1 side affect was vomiting. We immediately took her off. Can you help? Thank you and May GOD richly Bless you for all you do and say for HIM.

Dear Lisa Jo,

Arthro-IonX could be helpful to your horse. It helps with musculoskeletal pain, stiffness, and swelling and stimulates the tissues to heal.

Hyperthyroidism in cats is difficult to treat conventionally when the cat doesn't tolerate the medication well.

I have used three products from Standard Process: Thytrophin PMG, Cataplex F tablets, and Calcium lactate. Standard Process is sold through doctors, chiropractors, and veterinarians.

For your cat because there is liver involvement I would give Dia-IonX. The oligotherapeutic base would be helpful to stimulate the enzyme systems in the body and should also help with better calcium utilization. Please keep us informed of your progress and if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
