Health Questions & Answers

The vet told me to give my dog an aspirin a day to help with her arthritis, but it does not seem to help. Now she has trouble getting up and walking on her hind legs, what else can I try?

Dear Stacy,

Your dog may get relief from Promaxol. It offers effectiveness with its strong LM potencies but without side effects such as stomach bleeding that may occur with aspirin use. Its liquid format makes it very easy to give and absorb. You can add it to the food or water or give by mouth as needed. Later you can switch to Arthro-IonX for long-term maintenance as you work on healing the joints. Because it is so important to keep the large breed dogs mobile, I would also suggest a few other things to help the healing along. Give digestive enzymes with meals, probiotics and a high quality fish oil supplement daily. Along with Promaxol, it has a synergistic effect to stimulate healing. Please keep us informed of your progress. We would like to be a part of your team helping you keep your dog happy.

Best wishes,
Dr. Char
