My 13 1/2 year old lab has bad arthritis in his back knees. Now his legs are seizing up and collapsing. Took him to the vet--no help just pain pills. I am thinking he may be having muscle spasms in his back. Does your Arthro-IonX help with these as well? Thanks.

Dear Lisa,

ARTHRO-IONX can help the back feel better. Have you Googled Carprofen side effects for Labradors? Some dogs do not metabolize the drug well. It could put more stress on the kidneys which can make the back muscles very sore. You might want to ask your veterinarian for a different NSAID. Perhaps ARTHRO-IONX will provide enough relief so that you would not need to use very much of any NSAID at all. Giving PROBIOTICS would also be beneficial because you have used medication that can alter the normal intestinal flora. I would also recommend consulting with a veterinary chiropractor or acupuncturist; these modalities can really make a big difference in comfort and better movement .

Best regards,
