My 5 almost 6 year old lab has bad hips and arthritis in his ankle. He is currently taking Metacam. I am considering trying Arthro-IonX. It seems to be too good to be true, is it? I am skeptical.

Dear Tracy,

You may use ARTHRO-IONX along with other medications or supplements so it is OK to use with Metacam. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. You will need to give it at a different time than the medication so that it gives the body some time to focus on the remedy. I would also give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to help protect the gut and reduce inflammation and so maybe you will be able to decrease the amount of Metacam you are giving.

Please let us know how you do.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
