How bad can arthritis get in a Pomeranian? Can it get to the extent where they start limping because of the pain in their legs?

Arthritis can cause a small dog to limp but there can be other causes as well such as luxating patellas ( the knee cap slips off track). X- rays can help with a diagnosis of arthritis. To help reduce the discomfort and stimulate healing I would give PROMAXOL If a condition is severe I start with PROMAXOL and then switch over to ARTHRO-IONX for maintenance. For either one, initially I give a half dose twice daily on the breakfast and supper meals. Depending upon body weight for a small pet I might use less than that. With improvement I switch to a once a day dose.

I would also give PROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9 to strengthen the body and reduce inflammation. What kind of food, supplements, and water are you giving? These factors make a difference.

It might be helpful to have your dog evaluated by a veterinary chiropractor. Proper alignment makes a positive difference in better movement. Acupuncture can also help.
