My 15-1/2 year old GSP has front elbow arthritis, but is still very active just lumbers in front when he walks. My vet put him on Rimadyl but I see little improvement. He also receives laser therapy once per month. Would Arthro-IonX give him more mobility in your opinion. How much should I give him?

Dear Dianne,

ARTHRO-IONX is a safe option to provide relief for the older pet. I would divide the dose and give 1/4 teaspoon three times per day; On the breakfast and supper meals and at bedtime. Once you see some improvement you can switch to a 1/2 teaspoon twice a day on the meals, then later 3/4 teaspoon once a day. Initially if you give it concurrently with Rimadyl, administer them at different times of the day so that the body has time to respond to the homeopathic.

What kind of food and water do you give your dog? Do you give treats and supplements?

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
