Health Questions & Answers

Hi Dr. Char. I have consulted with you about my diabetic cat, Blacktop. I have been giving him Dia-IonX 10 drops, 2x daily in wet food for one month as you suggested. I have just had his glucose checked and my vet and I were astounded...he is normal!!! He dropped over 300 points in his test. No insulin required. Yay! She wants me to retest him in one month but to keep him on the Dia-IonX. Shall I keep him at the dose I mentioned? He is not drinking as much water either, but...his appetite is still out of control. I am going thru a lot of wet food (natural balance venison and pea) for him and my 3 other cats. No free choice dry for anybody. I have been giving him and them some Hills ZD dry food portioned out because they are not satisfied with only the wet food. I know you said dry food stresses the pancreas, but what can I do to work with appetite control. Blacktop howls all day for more food and the others all act like they are starved as well (which of course they are not). I have to use the venison food because of Blacktop's IBD problem, which is not currently under control, he still has soft stool, today it was like pudding (yuck). Thanks much for your help and your amazing Dia-IonX product. I look forward to hearing back from you. Regards, Claire

Dear Claire,

I would try 20 drops once daily with breakfast. Please let me know if he still does well with the one dose. I would give him more canned food when he is hungry.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
