Health Questions & Answers

We have a 12 year old miniature male Schnauzer who has always been afraid of types of noise, but really sensitive to thunderstorms. When he see's lightning he starts panting and is inconsolable. When he hears rain hitting the window the reaction is the same. then for a short while after the stormy weather subsides he is hyper sensitive. To other noises, such as house creaking, refrigerator etc... We currently give him a sedative, if it is at night so he can sleep. He finally settles down during daytime storms, partially due to exhaustion. Will your product work on such a extreme case? Thanks, He really means a lot to us and were at a point where we fear we cannot help him and do not want to medicate him continually. Regards, Doug

Dear Doug,

I would suggest you try both ANXIETREX and CHILLOUT CHEWS. ANXIETREX helps pets deal with various causes of anxiety. I would use it once a day on his food for a few weeks. If a storm is predicted give a CHILLOUT CHEW at the beginning of the day or before the storm. Diet can also affect behavior. What do you feed him? Artificial preservatives and colors are good to avoid. I like a non GMO diet. Looking forward to your reply.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
