Health Questions & Answers

I have a 12 year old female daschund that will dig to CHINA on the weekends in the yard so she has good days and slow days. When we go for our walks in the evenings she does act sluggish but doesn't act like she is in pain. Vegas weighs 13 pounds. Do you think that promaxol will put a kick in her step? Is there a weight requirement?

Dear Renee,

PROMAXOL helps to decrease pain, inflammation, and stiffness and stimulate healing. Hopefully your dog will experience easier movement as many other older pets have. Initially I would give 1/4 teaspoon with breakfast and supper. After improvement is seen you can decrease to a whole dose once daily for a while. Being a liquid makes it very easy to adjust the dose. In addition I find it helpful to follow a holistic approach by giving some nutritional supplements to accompany PROMAXOL. The supplements I recommend are probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. It is beneficial for general good health.

Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
