Please help me with my pom Louie, he is 7 yrs old, the love of my life, my vet thought if Louie lost a couple lbs these symtoms may reverse, he has lost more than he should, no treats at all, he has gone from 17.2 down to 12.  He leaks urine, his mouth is always dry, and I have tried everything they tell me but he just will not eat the dry foods they sell me.  I need help for him, I just ordered the Dia-IonXx for him, and am hoping something good will happen. We are going to try carrots, raw broccoli and cucumber, It said something about dry meats can you explain what or where I get them, please help me, he is my everything. Thanks -Tami-

Dear Tami,

You might want to check out a book by Dr. Pitcairn called Dr. Picairn's Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs & Cats for food ideas. Have you tried the canned version of diabetic food for dogs? In addition I would give Canine Probiotic, and Omega 3,6,9. These can help reduce symptoms by improving digestion and reducing inflammation.

Exercise and purified water is also important for better health.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
