Dear Marian,

I usually use a product by Thorne Research called Arthroplex. It contains more than glucosamine. They also make a Glucosamine-Chondroitin product which is 500 mg Glucosamine Sulfate/250 mg Chondroitin. For a 10 pound animal their dosage is 1/4 capsule daily. Between 10-25 pounds the Arthro-IonX or Promaxol for faster results. At the age of 17 homeopathics would probably work better.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
