Health Questions & Answers

Our Rat Terrier (age 10) had a sudden change in mobility. Within a one week period time she began having a very difficult time getting up in the morning and after naps. Does not express any pain. We had her tested for Addison Disease and that was negative. X-rays show a narrowing in her spine and that may be causing difficulty. No neurological issues. She's been on 14 days rest with muscle relaxants and pain pills. Have not seen much change. Can arthritis medicines help such as Arthro-Ion X? Prefer not to use steroids.

Dear Diane,

I would try PROMAXOL to reduce the pain and stiffness and help healing to begin. PROMAXOL would be a good choice for your dog because it contains the stronger LM potencies. After improvement is seen then you can switch over to ARTHRO-IONX. In addition it is helpful to give Canine Probiotics with each meal and Omega 3,6,9 daily. The oligotherapeutic mineral base found in the IONX products helps the body to better utilize the other nutritional substances given for a synergistic response and faster healing. Also be sure to give sufficient fresh water that is free of chlorine and fluoride.

Please let us know how you progress or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
