Health Questions & Answers

Looking for a good alternative for my elderly dog, Min. She is a Golden Retriever who is eleven and a half years of age. That makes us about the same age.:). Active and healthy for the most part and loves to walk and swim still but her hips are obviously giving her a bit of grief. I do not drive and live out of town so am reluctant to drag myself, never mind the dogs via someone else's vehicle. Basically, I know you cannot give real advice, so all I want to know is how highly would you recommend this product for keeping an old dog comfortable? She weighs approximately 80 lbs. and have never known her to be allergic to anything. I don't think she is liking the aspirin I give her with glucosamine complex though. Thank you, Lois

Dear Lois,

ARTHRO-IONX can help many different types of mobility issues. It helps to decrease pain, stiffness, and inflammation. Initially I like to split the dose and give a half dose with breakfast and a half dose with supper. After improvement is seen you can give a whole dose once a day on one of the meals. Besides glucosamine you can also add in tryPROBIOTICS and OMEGA 3,6,9. You might also a small amount of MSM and a B vitamin/ Choline product called Geri-Form to address the nerves. What are you feeding and giving as treats? What kind of water do you give? These factors also affect the joints.

I would also recommend a consultation with a veterinary chiropractor. Proper spinal alignment helps with better movement.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
