My dog is 10 years old and is drinking a considerable amount of water. However, he is gaining weight rather than losing it. He appears to be hungry all the time and never leaves a morsel of food in his dish. Can this be any other problem other than some form of diabetes? Kind regards Ray

Dear Raymond,

It would be a good idea to have some blood work done to have a baseline. There could be a hormone imbalance. If you have a diagnosis you can offer your dog the best treatment options.

Please let us know what you find out and we can help you with some holistic suggestions.

Best regards,
