I have a 10 y/o chow retriever mix that has had a partial torn ligament in his left elbow, surgery to remove a fast growing cancerous tumor and now what seems to be aggressive arthritis in both his front legs. His vet has him on carprofen and duralactin but he continues to get worse. If I decide to keep him on his prescription meds can we also try this product? Mary

Dear Mary,

You may use Arthro-IonX or Promaxol along with other medications or supplements. It is homeopathic in nature and so it will not negatively interact with other physical substances. You can use them together; just give them at separate times. Healing takes more time than just suppressing symptoms. The homeopathics help to stimulate healing. In addition I find it helpful to follow a holistic approach by giving some nutritional supplements to accompany Arthro-IonX. The supplements I recommend are Canine Probiotics, MSM, Vitamin C, and Omega 3,6,9. The IONX base will help the body to better utilize the nutrition for a synergistic response.

Please let us know how you progress or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
