My 14 lb Chihuahua has diabetes and I have opted to treat her with a diet and Dia-IonX. I am unable to give the injections the vet prescribed (2 units a day). Sox is always hungry and has all the bad symptoms. I started Dia-IonX yesterday. What is a suitable diet? I am giving her chicken with brown rice and green beans, about half a pound a day.

Dear Mary,

Had you used the veterinary prescription diet? Are you putting your home prepared food in the blender? Are you using other supplements? Does your dog usually seem to be warm or cool? Awaiting your response.

Best regards,
