Health Questions & Answers

I have a 13 year old pug with diabetes and is on insulin, (diagnosed july last year) and has hip dysplasia. I emailed to find out if the Arthro-IonX product would cause problems with the insulin and received an answer which said no so I ordered it. But at about the same time I received the Arthro-IonX, our dog was starting to have an increase in hunger. We have never been successfull at doing blood test, so we took her to the vet monthly to spot check. We are spending a couple of months where there is not a lot of vet access so I bought Diastix glucose test strips and started about same time as your product. her readings started high, but went off chart shortly after. I started giving Arthro-IonX. The product info for Arthro-IonX said not to use metal bowl and the instructions on the test strip said metals could affect readings. I stopped your product and readings went down to high, but not extreme. We are having a glucose curve done today just to figure out what is going on. My question is does your product have any interaction with the Diastix that would affect the reading? With your product the readings were around 1000 but dropped to 500 a couple of days after stopping (based on the color chart). the Arthro-IonX seems to help in the short time we used it but had to stop to isolate what was happening with blood sugar. As I said, we are not able to do blood test so I had hoped the glucose strips would help us monitor better.

Dear David,

I would try 5 drops of Arthro-IonX on breakfast and supper. Please let us know how the glucose curve goes and what the glucose stick readings are when you try it again.

Best regards,
