My 10 year old Gordon Setter just since November has been very unstable in the back hips. She is about 80 lbs, and has been on Prednizone, but it is not working so well. What do you suggest for the Arthro-IonX. How much will she need? How long does it take to make a difference? And what percentage of dogs do not feel relief?

Dear Tom,

The dose is 3/4 teaspoon per day which I would split between the two meals. Usually some changes occur somewhere between the first and third weeks. Homeopathy is patient specific meaning that one needs to match the remedy to the symptoms so it is hard to give you a percentage of efficacy. Having been on Prednisone can also slow the progress. I would also give a few other supplements along with Arthro-IonX for a more holistic approach. I would give probiotics, Omega 3,6,9, and Geri-Form (a choline/ B vitamin to aid the nerves). We carry the first two. The Ionx products help the body to better utilize the nutrition. Many pets have been helped by this approach.

Please let us know how you do in case we need to discuss diet, too.

Best regards,
