My rough coat collie broke out all over his body with red swollen crusty patches. He was put on cephlaxin to help for two weeks. Vet wants to keep him on for another 2 weeks but I don't want to continue with antibiotics. They did skin samples, and it was not a fungus. It is either yeast or bacterial they said. It is getting better but hair is dry and his skin is scaly. I am interested in your product and your thoughts about Wallace's condition. He is a beautiful rough coat collie and very sensitive to meds. Thanks Francie

Dear Francie,

You might want to look at some of our products to help heal the skin. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation, promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include Canine probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while.

Defendex shampoo which is nontoxic washes away debris and soothes the skin. Using these products is a simple and effective way of helping resolve a difficult condition.

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions or to let us know how Wallace is doing.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
