We have a toy poodle and are trying to get her used to riding in the car. However, she drools heavily from the mouth when riding in the car. I am wondering why this is occuring and if there is a way to prevent this from happening. -Jerry-

Dear Jerry,

Your dog is getting overstimulated. To help reduce the anxiety and motion sickness you could give Travel Chews. I would give one before traveling and then take a short drive around the block and reward with a treat when you get home. Perhaps the next day you repeat but increase the distance for that trip. Hopefully you can retrain the response and so when you need to do a full trip for real, it will not be stressful. Please let us know how it works for you or if you have any other questions.

Best regards,
