My 12 year old cat has hip or tail pain...can walk but uneasy, pain on right side. She can stretch both legs while lying down. She meows in pain if you pick her up or move her tail. You can rub her in this area, no pain. She is a black and white tuxedo named Amanda. She eats, use bathroom and drinks water. Your analysis will be grateful.

Dear Terri,

You might want to see your veterinarian to determine if an abscess is developing near the tail or if there might be a fracture in the pelvis. If it isn't an abscess then your veterinarian might advise an X-ray. If nothing is fractured than consulting a veterinary chiropractor could be helpful. If it is fractured an adjustment could still be helpful if that area is avoided. PROMAXOL could be helpful to your cat by reducing pain, inflammation, and aiding healing. Please let us know what you find out.

Best regards,
