I have a 16 yr old hyper-thyroid cat and a 13 yr old diabetic cat. Little and Big Ginger respectively. If your product is made for diabetic cats how does it help hyperthyroid cat? I didn't see nat mur in the ingredients and I believe that is the one of the salts used for thyroid balance. I am giving her nat sulp and kali phos now along with 250 mg of l carnitine. My Big Ginger is on 2 units of insulin and a high protien low carb diet . His bs stays around 400 which is not good. Can you help? Christine

Dear Christine,

Dia-IonX was formulated primarily for diabetic situations in which the liver and pancreas need support. It also helps the body to integrate the hormonal feedback loop.

That is why I would also have Little Ginger try it. For Big Ginger it is best if she gets no dry cat food at all. Studies have shown that diabetic cats do best if all dry food is eliminated. It stresses the pancreas too much. I would give about 10 drops of Dia-IonX on canned food twice daily.

Please let us know what changes you notice.

Best regards,
