Dear Dr Char, I am awaiting Arthro-IonX to help our dog Sumo. He has improved with lots of home input and TLC plus "my own" treatment plan based on internet info on the condition and observation of him. He is a 14 year old Austrailia Cattle Dog weighs 23kg. Apart from poor dental condition of back teeth/shocking breath, until last year he had excellent health. May 2013 had 6 by 8 cm prostate cyst(was intact dog until then), removed with laparotomy and desexing. He was almost dead when he had his surgery as local vet thought he had constipation then UTI...Any way he came through that well ultimately but overall body condition has degenerated since his desexing(?). He is currently also on 200mcg of thyroxine since a month ago. He has had slow degeneration of his back end, but acute injury"attack" at end of June. Was very severe ++++pain difficulty mobilizing could NOT sit/lie down at all for about a month. Had to devise ways to assist with pain relief etc. I am giving him fish oil good diet generally occaisional aspirin 150- 300mgs once or twice a day as needed. Has incontinence and poor anal sphincter control since June; I manually express his urine 3 or 4 times per 24hrs. Urine test end of July no infection and his urine looks and smells fine. Also does loose lots of urine in his sleep. Has an excellent appetite and we just want to help him as much as we can until his death. Can you advise me any further? Thanking you in advance.

Dear Aurianne,

Besides ARTHRO-IONX and the fish oil, I would also give probiotics. You might also consider chiropractic or acupuncture to bring more energy to the rear end.

Please let us know how you do or if you have any other questions.

Best regards,

Dr.Char www.vetionx.com
