Is it ok to give low dose aspirin with the ionx for asditional pain relief. My 15 year old bearded collie is responding well to the Vetionx but I thought the additional aspirin might give extra releif for pain and inflammation. Also, can I give him glucosamine chondroitin with all of this. His health other than the arthritis seems remarkable good for his age.

Dear Kathy,

You can give aspirin according to your veterinarian's recommendation along with ARTHRO-IONX. You may also use Chondroitin. I would try to avoid aspirin because it can cause gastric bleeding wherever it touches the gastric mucosa. Once in a while doesn't seem to hurt much. I would instead first try an additional half dose of ARTHRO-IONX. As part of strengthening the body I also give PROBIOTICS and Omega 3,6,9 which does a lot to reduce inflammation.

Please let us know how you do.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
