Will this be harmful to a cat if the cat doesn't have diabetes after all? My cat is 18 years old and very hard to take to the vet. -Connie-

Dear Connie,

Dia-IonX would not be harmful to someone who is not diabetic. I suggest it for kidney support. However you should check the urine. Maybe you can catch a clean urine sample and take it in to your veterinarian to check it for sugar or infection. It is best to get a diagnosis and find ways to monitor the condition. In addition I would also give some other supplements such as digestive enzymes, probiotics, and Omega 3,6,9. These are important for older pets.

Best regards,

Dr. Char
