Dear Catherine,

Arthro-IonX is safe to use in older pets with kidney disease. I would start with a small dose and see if the low amount is enough to provide the relief needed. I would start with a 1/4 dose twice daily on the morning and evening meals and later increase to a 1/2 dose twice daily if necessary. Arthro-IonX helps to stimulate healing. In addition I find it helpful to follow a holistic approach by giving some nutritional supplements to accompany Arthro-IonX. The supplements I recommend are Canine Probiotics and Omega 3,6,9. Arthro-IonX will help the body to better utilize the nutrition for a synergistic response.

Please let us know how you progress or if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
