My 14 yr old female was diagnosed with diabetes in May. I had her get a second opinion at Penn Vet in Philadelphia. They stated that she was being treated fine but I see now that she has loose stools, hungry, thirsty although she gets her shots. What does Dia-IonX do? How does it affect her insulin?

Dear Candace,

I like to use Dia-IonX because it helps to control the symptoms of diabetes and it's therapeutic mineral base helps activate the enzyme systems in the body that help with healing. In addition I give digestive enzymes with each meal, a probiotic and Omega 3,6,9 daily. Dia-IonX will help the body better utilize the other supplements for a faster response. In addition make sure that you offer sufficient water free of chlorine and fluoride. A regular exercise schedule is also helpful in moving glucose from the blood and into the muscles which will reduce the blood glucose. It is important that you monitor the blood glucose levels so that you can ask your veterinarian about adjusting the insulin dosage if necessary.

How are the kidneys doing? Diabetics are prone to kidney damage which then can lead to diarrhea. Dia-IonX contains homeopathic remedies that help support the kidneys.

Please let us know if you have any other questions. Hope you get the diarrhea resolved quickly.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
