Thank you for answering my recent question.Things have changed since our last correspondence. I just found out that both of my dogs have been diagnosed with hypothyroid and are now taking 0.8 mg levothyroxin folofine 2x daily. My veterinarian has also prescribed prednisone 20 mg 1x daily for her itching. I'm currently giving her the following; Omega 3 1000 mg 2x daily, Pet Tab Plus 1x daily, Zrytec 10 mg x2, Earthborne holistic grain free food and treats, Sojos grain free fruit an vegetables food , purified water to drink. I'm using Sebolux medicated shampoo . She has terrible flaking skin, itching, and losing hair in clumps. Just recieved Derma-IonX today. Is it okay to use Dema-IonX with the above listed items. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you. Carla

Dear Carla,

I would try leaving out the Pet Tabs. Instead of the Sebolux I would use Defendex which is nontoxic and very cleansing. You can use Derma-IonX with any of it. Sometimes the steroid can reduce the effectiveness of homeopathics such as Derma-IonX. But usually it works anyway.

Best regards,
