Health Questions & Answers

My yellow lab has been ridden with allergies since she was about 2 and is now 10 almost 11. She chews her paws till they bleed and then I end up at the vet. She has food allergies so we have expensive food, she is allergic to grasses so I wipe her feet. It is crazy. And she is on daily Atopica at $135 a month. I really need help because it is soooo expensive. It still does not prevent trips to the vet for an infection (sometimes yeast on the feet) or ears. I am losing my mind and so is she. Laurie

Dear Laurie,

You might want to look at some of our products to help heal the skin. Derma-IonX which is an oral homeopathic product stimulates the enzyme systems in the body which reduces itching and inflammation , promotes healing of the skin and helps with assimilation of nutritional components in diet and supplements. The supplements I use along with it include Canine probiotics, vitamin C, MSM, and Omega 3,6,9. Together with Derma-IonX it produces a synergistic effect for a faster response. I would also suggest that you give your dog only filtered water for drinking and bathing if your water contains chlorine or fluoride. For the dietary modifications you might want to try a grain free diet for a while. What special diet are you giving? Also sometimes veterinary chiropractic can help with allergies so please check for availability in your area.

Defendex shampoo which is nontoxic washes away debris and soothes the skin. Using these products is a simple and effective way of helping resolve a difficult condition. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
