Dear Sally,

Your dog might lick it and it would not be safe to ingest. It contains macadamia nut oil. Macadamia nuts are toxic to dogs, so I would not apply this topically. If you want to help your dog's skin you could try the homeopathic DERMA-IONX. It helps a variety of skin issues. OMEGA 3,6,9 given orally can also help soothe and moisturize the skin. Both of these are available from Vetionx.

Diet is an important influence on skin health. What kind of food and treats do you feed? It is also beneficial to give purified water if your water contains chlorine or fluoride.

Best regards,

Dr. Char www.vetionx.com
