Health Questions & Answers

I have a ten year old German Shepherd that has chronic diarrhea. I have had his blood and stool sample tested but my vet can't figure out what's wrong. I feed him the same thing I feed my other two dogs and they have no problems. They get boiled chicken and rice with about two cups of a quality grain free kibble. The last time we went to the vet he gave him some antibiotics and it went away, but then it came back. My vet is hesitant to give me more antibiotics without doing a lot more tests. I have read about ARD and the symptoms are the same as his. Is there anything I can give him to help? I think tomorrow I am going to stop giving him just the hard food for a couple of days and see if that makes any difference. Thank you

Dear Frances,

DIA-IONX contains remedies that can help with digestion and diarrhea. In addition I like to give MSM, Canine probiotics and Omega 3,6,9 daily. DIA-IONX will help the body better utilize the other supplements for a faster response. In addition make sure that you offer sufficient water free of chlorine and free of fluoride. According to Chinese food therapy turkey or fish would be more cooling to the gut then chicken.

Please let us know how you progress and if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,

Dr. Char
