My 14 year old lab just urinated on the carpet today for the first time. What can I do and what takes urination smells out of your carpet?

Dear Betty,

It would be good to take a freshly caught urine sample to your veterinarian to have it checked for the presence of an infection or kidney disease. Please let us know what the result is and we can help you with some holistic options. To clean the carpet I would use an enzyme cleaner. I use ones made by Bissell, and is usually found in large stores like Walmart.
