I just started Arthro-IonX on my 16 year old weinie dog. She has been on it two days and this morning she had diarreah and doesn't want anything to eat. Is this normal or should I stop giving it to her.

Dear Lori,

You should stop giving it until the stool becomes firm again. Once that happens you can reintroduce it more gradually. Start with one drop twice daily and increase by one drop daily until you reach a half dose twice daily. If the stool gets softer go back to the previous dosage for a while. How much does your dog weigh? How much did you give and by what method? I like to split the dose and add it to the breakfast and supper food. PROBIOTICS are also helpful in reducing diarrhea and is helpful when there is arthritis.

Best regards,
