My vet told me to use Aptopica for my cat. It works for sure and all his pimples and sores go away from environmental allergies. I am not sure it is the best, however, long term and it is very expensive. I ran out a several weeks ago and the pimples are back - he is an outdoor cat btw. Will Derma-IonX really work? I can't stand to see him scratch like this. This is a chronic issue since I have had him - rescue cat - and every year he gets steroid shots several times a year. I just want to find something that will really work. Not some sales job. I feed him dry Blue Wilderness high protein and grain free Salmon Natural Evolution diet. Also, I feed him wet food - fancy feast in the morn/night. I have tried so many wet food, high priced - high quality products, but he won't eat anything consistently but Fancy. HELP!! Will this product work?

Dear Marsha,

DERMA-IONX has been helpful in many cases of dermatitis. With feline dermatitis I suggest that the cat be checked for parasites, so you might want to do this if it hasn't been done recently. I also give probiotics and Omega 3,6,9 along with DERMA-IONX. As for dosing DERMA-IONX, I prefer to add 10 drops onto some canned food twice daily at breakfast and supper. Together it works well together to reduce inflammation and stimulate healing. Healing the gut is critical in dealing with allergies.

Please keep us updated.
