I have a 9 month old boxer (Silas) that has been in pain for the last 3 weeks; stiffness of neck and joints. We have run blood tests and his ALT and Alkaline Phospatase are high. 6 days ago our vet put him on his 3rd round of antibiotics - Clindamycin (225 mg 3 times daily) and Trimethoprim/Sulfamethoxazole (480mg 2 times daily). Additionally he is also taking an anti-inflamatory (Firocoxib). He was doing well for about 5 days and yesterday we could see the stiffness and pain creeping back. We have an additional antibiotic on the way to treat his symptoms as well (I don't know the name if it). Our team of vets thinks it may be one of two things: Hepatozoonosis or Neosporosis. My question to you is will Arthoro-IonX and/or Promaxol help or hinder the antibiotics and will either of these two products help with his pain?

Dear Jim,

PROMAXOL or ARTHRO-IONX can be used at this time. I would choose PROMAXOL because it also contains the LM potencies of all the individual ingredients. Try to give the homeopathic at a time away from the other medications so the body has time to respond to it before encountering another substance. Initially I would give a half dose two to four times daily as needed. After improvement you can switch to a whole dose once daily. In addition I would also give PROBIOTICS at a time away from the antibiotics to try to maintain good flora. OMEGA 3,6,9 would also be beneficial for reducing inflammation.

Please let us know how you do.
