What's the best remedy for sleepless nights?

Well, first off I would steer clear of the chemical OTC or even the prescription treatments out there. Too much risk of dependency and side effects. One awesome natural remedy I've found is Valerian. Celestial Seasonings has a tea - Sleepy Time Plus - with valerian in it, but recently I've purchased supplement pills. I take three for sleep problems and one or two if I'm in need of stress relief during the day.

I've also used different techniques for getting my mind off the worries that are keeping me up. One is to tense up every muscle one by one starting with my toes and moving up. Once I get to my arms and my whole body is tense I release and repeat if necessary. It helps wear you out and keeps your mind from wandering.
