This statement was brought to my attention this last week....I found it very interesting!  What are your thoughts?

I feel that when you find something that helps you through this journey of life you what to shout it from the roof top, because you want everyone to experience the same thing. But I am starting to realize that everyone finds that personal relationship with God in there own way and at the right time. :) And it is just to live out this life to the best of your ability and just to love!

Can you explain the basic idea of "found people, find people"?

OH! Nevermind! I get it.

People who find god vs people who are found by god.....

My thoughts - I would hope that regardless of anything, we would all be "find people" our whole lives. The greatest wisdom would be our acknowledgement that we have so SO much to learn. All of us.

I would urge people to remain curious and to keep an eye out for bias from both ourselves and others. Religious leaders may be educated and your parents should be very important, but they are also people too! What is true or works for them, may not be true or work for you. It's okay to believe SOMEthings and not EVERYthing. It's good to look for knowledge from many different sources. You may be astonished by how similar the core value of most religions are.

I posted a link to a very good test on the Spirituality group wall. It asks for your own personal beliefs on a WIDE variety of issues and determines which of almost 30 religions (including many Christian denominations and more than one type of Jewish and Buddhist belief system) mostly fits you. You may be surprised by the results!

It worries me that so many see blind, unquestioning belief as a virtue equivalent to "holiness". To me, it's not only a lazy attitude, but one that is detrimental to the spiritual knowledge and development of human kind.

Actually Erin, Found people find people, I took it that when you find God and are so excited about what has happened that you want to share your experiences with others and either they take it or they will seek out and find their own experience or they may not want to do nothing with what you have shared.
God knows everything and everyone, one thing that so amazes me is how much HE loves and pursues us! And then it is us finding HIM and developing that relationship with HIM. We all will have our own personnel relationship with Christ not everyone will have the same experiences or encounters but we can learn from each others.
Just like you were saying about parents, yes we should listen of whatever they share and pour into our lives but as we grow and have our own family we will always take the good things and pour that into our family.
