My great uncle is color blind! And for a super long time I thought color blind people just straightup saw black white and a billion gray shades but thats not how he sees. He can see color, it's just a different hue than we perceive it. I think that's sorta neat! There are some colors that completely blend in with certain colors in his case too.

That is really neat. Thanks for sharing Dayton! My friend in high school was color blind, but I didn't find that out until a science project. We had to construct a DNA model with fruit loops. Our group asked him to go get blue fruit loops and he came back with both blue and purple. He couldn't differentiate between those two hues.

I'm blind in my left eye! It's been that way since birth, so I don't Know what it is like to see out of two eyes. It's a rare condition called Coats Disease ('_disease). Thankfully it's non-hereditary and only affects one eye. My parents caught on quick enough when I was a baby so it's been well managed (it's not going to fall out, or anything like that!). I can't see 3d and my depth perception isn't great (I'm always running into walls). Being blind hasn't stopped me any, it's forced me to become a very observant person, which is handy seeming as how often my girlfriend loses her keys!

Thanks for sharing Dan! I am a big believer in the saying, whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. And you've definitely proved that right! My guess is you are probably more observant than people who do not have a visual impairment. And the fact that you can find your girlfriends keys proves that! :) Thanks again for sharing this.
