As a mother myself, I imagine that must be really worrying for you! :(

What you are looking for is information on trichotillomania. I actually knew a girl with this exact same problem who said she'd do it at completely random times, usually at night when her mind had time to wander.

I don't know a TON about it, but I know it's related to OCD and it's a very difficult condition to overcome. Still, it CAN be done. I would suggest therapy to get at root problems that led to the compulsive behavior and tohelp her to gain control over her condition.

HelloLife also has a product - compulsin - that is specifically designed for OCD symptoms and people have said it works really well for them. You might consider trying this to help as she works on developing her own coping strategies.

Hope this helps! :/

Depending on the severity of the behavior, eyelash pulling can range anywhere from a run of the mill habit to a form of OCD called trichotillomania. If this behavior is causing a problem, then I would agree with Erin about seeking therapy.
