Using lean turkey meat really cuts down on the fat. By adding fresh herbs you can kick the flavor up a notch!
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 lbs ground turkey meat
- 1 cup carrot, chopped
- ¼ cup fresh oregano
- 1 cup fresh parsley
- 2 cups spaghetti sauce
- 1 lb whole wheat spaghetti
You may also need:
A Pot, Kitchen Knife, Spoon
Chop carrot into a fine dice and add to the turkey.
Chop oregano, basil, and parsley and add to the turkey.
Stir in Tomato Sauce and cook until carrot softens.
When sauce has finished cooking, turn down heat to a simmer while completing the next step.
To cook the pasta, fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Stir in the spaghetti, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta, stirring occasionally, until cooked, yet still firm to the bite (about 10 minutes). Drain.
Serve Turkey Bolognese sauce over hot spaghetti.
