Jaye's Acorn Squash with Marshmallows
By Serves 4

This is such a simple recipe but one that kids really enjoy perhaps because there is one secret ingredient, marshmallows.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes

  1. 2 medium acorn squash,, halved and seeds discarded
  2. 4 teaspoons unsalted butter
  3. 4 teaspoons light brown sugar
  4. 4 marshmallows

You may also need:

Baking Sheet, Kitchen Knife, Oven, Spoon

Step 1:

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place squash halves, cut-side down, in two 13-by-9-inch baking pans or one 15-by-10-by-1-ind pan. Fill with 1/2 inch water.

Step 2:

Bake 40 minutes or until squash is tender.

Step 3:

Transfer squash, cut-side up to a baking sheet. To each, add 1 teaspoon butter, 1 teaspoon brown sugar and 1 marshmallow. Return to oven and bake until marshmallow is golden brown and puffy.

This looks great. Anything with marshmallows in it I will eat. I am not really sure weather it is the marsh part or the mallo part that is good but either way this dish looks delicious
