Skinny Chicken Parmesan

By slow cooking the chicken, you get a juicier, more flavorful experience.

  1. 3 whole breasts boneless skinless chicken breasts
  2. 1 large egg
  3. 2 cups seasoned Italian bread crumbs
  4. 2 tbsp canola oil
  5. 3 cups tomato sauce
  6. ½ cup low-fat mozzarella cheese
  7. 1 tbsp parmesan cheese
  8. ¼ cup fresh parsley

You may also need:

A Pot, Bowl, Plate, Skillet, Spoon, Whisk

Step 1:

Lightly beat the egg in a pie plate or large soup bowl. Put the breadcrumbs in a separate dish. Dip chicken in egg and dredge in breadcrumbs.

Step 2:

Cook chicken in canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned on both sides.

Step 3:

Spoon tomato sauce over chicken and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Step 4:

Sprinkle with cheeses and parsley. Cover and simmer 5 additional minutes or until cheeses melt.
